Publications.

Although academia provides a platform for higher education, some practices are not equitable. For example, many academic journals require research paywalls that prohibit access to articles without a journal subscription. These rates can cost upwards of $300. As a culturally responsive researcher, I believe that published works should be accessible to the communities they serve.

It’s time to decolonize academia.
